Entrepreneurship is one of the principal qualities that we look for and support in all Peerage Capital partners. That core belief has led Peerage founder and chairman, Miles Nadal, to support a number of initiatives that foster the development of young entrepreneurs in particular.
In 2020, Miles became a Presenting Sponsor for the annual National Business Book Award. For 35 years the NBBA, has celebrated those authors have told uniquely Canadian stories about entrepreneurs, business leaders, and the policy issues that have framed the evolution of our domestic economy, often in a global context.
The 2020 NBBA winner was Andrea Benoit, who’s book VIVA MᐧAᐧC: AIDS, Fashion, and the Philanthropic Practices of MᐧAᐧC Cosmetics, recounts how MAC cosmetics became not only a successful global brand, but one of the first companies to integrate social issues into its corporate identity and marketing.
In a recent interview, Miles noted: “It has never been more important to learn from the experiences of the Canadian entrepreneurs and business leaders who have preceded us. We need to focus on the opportunities and where to find them in the face of big challenges, such as the current environment. The stories told by NBBA authors help us to position for the future.”
